Brand Insistance

As i was reading through chapter 10 I came across the brand insistence which is the degree of brand loyalty in which a customer strongly prefers a specific brand and will accept no substitute. As I thought about this I was trying to think of the things in my personal life that I insist a certain brand. The one thing that first came to my mind is the brand of snowmobile that my dad and I ride. Since the day that I can remember the only brand that we have ridden is Arctic Cat. They make a great product that fits the needs of both my dad and I. I have had two different model and my dad countless other every time getting exactly what we wanted. The other thing that I was thinking about it why I am so passionate about that brand. I think that the reason is because I have grown up knowing Arctic Cat and Only Arctic Cat. What my question is do you develop brand insistence because it is the best product or the fact that it is the brand you have been introduced too like in my situation?
